Thought of the Day

All night and day I struggled in my sleep, tossing and turning as the Lord was speaking to me. The last few days have been trying and I have been in anticipation on what the Lord needed me to do concerning the things that were laying heavy on my heart. The one thing I heard was love.

Regardless of what we think or how we feel, we must always walk in love even with those that we do not feel deserve it. We cannot do anything less than what God has already done for us. In reality, if we would all be honest with ourselves, none of us truly deserves the love that we need in order to do and be all that God has called us to do and be. The hardest thing to do in any situation is to love beyond our emotions, our opinions, and our feelings in order to grasp the ability to love past ourselves for the benefit and well being of someone else.

Only “but for the Grace of God there go I”. It is only his ability working through us that can actually brings us to a place of surrender within ourselves to be willing to lay down our life and everything within us for the sake of another. We cannot do this on our own. We must seek God’s grace to bring us to a higher place in Him that will put a demand on what is necessary for the better good of another through us and then yield to it.

When I tell you, it has taken everything within me this week to remind myself that the only thing that is important is showing God’s love. Regardless of the situation, show God’s love. Regardless of the circumstance, show God’s love. It is the love of God that covers a multitude of sin. It is the love of God that heals the brokenhearted. It is the love of God that restores mankind back to our Father. It's not our judgment nor our condemnation. It's only His love. Without it we can do nothing.

So, I am thanking God right now in the midst of adversity, that His love and grace is sufficient to carry me and work through me all at the same time so that I can shed His love upon as many men/women as possible while I will be allowed to be here on this side of eternity. Remember, we owe no man anything but to love. That is the posture we must keep at all times. When our enemies come against us, we must love. When people falsely accuse us or talk about us behind our backs, we must love. It matters not what the other person is doing or has done. The only thing that matters is our response. Let’s determine within ourselves that we will respond as Christ responded to us and Love as He loved! It’s the least we can do for all that He has done for us. Just Love!
