My Thoughts of the Day

Woke up this morning with this scripture on my heart, Psalms 63. And it says, “Early in the morning will I seek Thee. My soul thirsts for You. My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your Glory.” I thought to myself, how often do we rise early and seek the Lord so that He can quench our thirst and allow Him to deal with our flesh.
I find myself lately waking up earlier now with a desire to spend time with the Lord so that He can set my day. With so much going on right now in the world, I want to be intentional on my time with Him now more so than ever. The warfare is heightened around me and I realize that it is the enemy’s strategy as much as possible to steal, kill, and destroy any part of my life that he can. But, I also realize, that as long as I ABIDE in the secret place of the Lord no matter what trap the enemy is trying to set before me it won't come nigh my dwelling. My safety is in the Lord! It is not in material things, it is not in people, it is not in titles or pulpits. My safety is in the Lord. And when I ABIDE in Him, though the enemy may seem to be right on my heals, he can't touch me.
Catching that understanding has literally allowed me to be able to see God moving on my behalf even when I can’t feel God moving on my behalf! And with every trial, the Lord brings me through I am made more aware of my faith that is being renewed and strengthened every day. I realize the more I Abide in Him the more He covers and protects me from the hand of my enemies. His fortress is built so high around me that the enemy cannot even see me anymore nor figure out how to attack me because I am hidden! Not even the seeds of discord that he tries to plant near me will be allowed to grow or prosper.
Daily my faith is being renewed in a hard place, in a place some would call wilderness because the surroundings seem to be dry and without life. But, if we would just learn how to ABIDE under the shadow of the Almighty, the Lord Himself will become the source of water that we need in order for us to come through the low places of life with nothing missing, nothing lacking, and feeling totally renewed because God Himself used the very thing that was meant to take us out to instead grow us up!
Daily my relationship with my Father is being renewed and He is taking me to a deeper place with Him while ascending me to a Higher place in Him! I am so grateful for this moment in time. We must learn how to rejoice in adversity because adversity is a place of crushing that God seeks to get the Glory out of while He is producing the oil from that very same situation that He will use to pour onto others from our life!
So, my prayer this morning for all of us is, “Lord teach us how to ABIDE in YOU so that we will be able to experience more of YOUR Glory and more of Your Power, but more so than anything else, Lord, so that we would be engulfed in YOUR Presence. We love you, Lord. Let always the confessions of our mouth and the meditations of our heart be accepted unto YOU our Strength and our Redeemer. Father, we give you all the praise, all the honor, and all the glory. It ALL belongs to You! In Jesus Name. Amen”
I pray these words encourage you this morning. And I pray that you will allow they Lord to continue to be the Water you need in this moment so He can fill you up with so much of Him that when the enemy looks for you, you will not be found.
